At Grantham Sunrise Rotary, we are dedicated to creating meaningful change within our community. One of our recent initiatives focused on providing dignity and comfort to individuals receiving hospice care at home in Grantham. We proudly donated £500 worth of towels, toiletries, and other essential items to St Barnabas, a local hospice charity supporting those living with life-limiting illnesses.

This initiative is part of a collaborative effort to support one of our District Governor’s designated charities for this Rotary year. Through a combination of district grants and our own fundraising efforts, we secured the funds to purchase and deliver bed linen, towels, face cloths, and personal hygiene products to St Barnabas in Grantham. These items will directly benefit their vital home assistance services, helping clients maintain dignity and comfort during challenging times.
St Barnabas Hospice provides compassionate care and support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Their Grantham team delivers essential services, including home visits, respite care, and emotional support, enabling clients to preserve their dignity and quality of life. Their work is a lifeline for many, and we are honoured to contribute to their mission.
Rotarian Deb Wylie, who played a key role in the project, shared her thoughts:
“This has been a worthwhile hands-on project for our members and a great opportunity to build a strong relationship with our local St Barnabas.”
We’re also incredibly grateful for the generosity of local supporters like Ingrid, who supported us with a generous discount. This help us maximise the impact of our funds. It’s this spirit of collaboration that makes projects like these possible.
At Grantham Sunrise Rotary, we are passionate about working together to make a positive impact in our community. If you’re feeling inspired and want to learn more or get involved—we’d love to hear from you!
