Young RYLA Presentation: 31 Mar 22 Erica and Ellie provided a simple PPT presentation where they set out their individual experiences. The weather had been most unkind to them resulting in things such as abseiling having to be cancelled. The most frightening experience had been ‘gutter running’, which involved dressing up in fully waterproofed gear and running down a stoney stream as quickly as they could. “Not easy when your face is covered in heavy clothing and spectacles covered in snow and sleet”! They had enjoyed night orienteering and a cave visit best. Both had made new friends and are still in touch via social media. Overall, they felt the event leaders had helped them and kept them safe and provided them with team building and leadership skills. Both felt the experience had been good for their confidences, with both Mums confirming this. Following a Q&A session they said they hoped to make a presentation to their school. They were both thanked by President Kevin who then with and Irvin presented Erika and Ellie with the certificates.
